Biography

Suzanne began working with UBC, Inc. in 1998 and has worked with the Washington Department of Labor & Industries systems since 1994. Services she provides include addressing return to work alternatives with existing and new employers; assessing client education, work experience and transferable skills; identifying return to work options and goals; instructing job search skills; and resume preparation. She also coordinates services with employers, claims managers, health care providers, attorneys and outside agencies.

Education

Suzanne Waite received her Bachelor of Science degree in Work Force Education and Development from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.

Professional Background

From 1986 to 1994, Suzanne instructed adult students on job search skills. She arranged tours and informational interviews for upcoming graduates, provided speakers from the business community, and provided training on resume writing, interviewing and networking techniques. In addition, she has experience with providing career related rehabilitation services and counseling to individuals with injuries and disabilities. She has been a registered Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor with the State of Washington since 1994. In 1995 she became co-owner of Career Counseling, Inc. with offices in Renton and Puyallup. She is currently a member of WA-IARP and served on their Board of Directors from May 2007 to May 2009.
