Biography

Jan has recently returned to UBC, Inc., after many years working as a private vocational counselor.  In her new role at UBC, Inc., Jan provides VRC coverage for all clinics and also works in the HR, communications, and business development departments.

Education

Jan obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from California State University, Chico, in 1978.  She obtained a Masters Certificate in Disability Management from Western Washington University in 2003 and obtained her Certified Disability Management Specialist (CDMS) credential in 2004.

Professional Background

Jan has been gaining experience as a private sector VRC for the State of Washington since 1988.  She has worked collaboratively with injured workers, claims, and employers. Jan previously worked at UBC as a VRC in the late 80's and early 90's.  She is currently working towards her Masters Degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology where her focus has been on executive coaching, leadership development, and organizational communications.  She will graduate March 2010.
