Biography

Daniel has served as our Treatment Team Coordinator and Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor for the multi-disciplinary Pain Management program since May, 2001. Before coming to UBC, Inc., Daniel served as a Rehabilitation and Disability Management Consultant, specializing in the medical and vocational case management of back and spine surgeries and orthopedic injuries, as well as vocational impairment ratings with associated legal testimony.

Education

Daniel received his B.S. in Accounting from Jacksonville State University in 1971. He holds an MA in Counseling and Guidance from the University of Alabama. He is a Certified Disability Management Specialist and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Alabama.

Professional Background

Daniel’s been a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor since 1978. Prior to coming to UBC, he developed and managed CARF-accredited work hardening programs, developed functional restoration programs for spinal surgery patients with chronic pain, developed and implemented a disability management program for personal and work injury time loss cases, developed physician networks, wrote federal grant proposals, taught health educators, and developed and implemented marketing plans for outpatient physical therapy and work hardening centers.
